Finally got my oyster fix!!! They were very fresh and tasty. Half natural and half Kilpatrick. The lady who served us could have been a little friendlier but didn't detract from the night. Their website did say the price for oysters, but were $5 more on the night.
Went for our anniversary, Beautiful food, had a steak, perfectly cooked, fantastic jus, great service, reasonably priced.
A Goolwa landmark that is a reliable venue for lunch or dinner. Relaxed and comfortable. Staff are attentive and helpful. The baked Mulloway was first rate as was tge cheesecake. I will be back again soon.
When we arrived we heard the waitress say to some people that they had run out of oysters. Given that Thursday night is their special "oyster night" I was shattered! BUT, all was not lost! When I mentioned that was the main reason we were there Kylie (the waitress) said don't worry Geoff I put a dozen aside for you because I knew that's what you wanted. Brilliant. They were bloody beautiful and so was the flathead chips and salad that followed. Thanks Sue and team for a great night.
Both our main meals were tasty, but entree sized and expensive. Risotto was undercooked and served within 5 mins. Eat before you go there to avoid leaving hungry!
