Great service and reasonable prices
Have been a regular customer for several years for maintenance of my powered garden equipment and have always received prompt and courteous attention.
I dropped of a mower off nine days ago on a thursday. Keen to use locals where ever possible and also very happy to pay a little more. I needed the starter cord replaced. When asked when could they do it, they said leave it with us. We'll call you next week. Not sure whether this is an easy or difficult job but I would have thought pretty straight fwd. I also asked how much it would cost to service the mower... $80 odd plus parts was the response. What about the blades, how much to replace them I asked... not sure if we can get them was the response. Ok, no problem. Left the mower with my name and number. Next week came and went no call. Its Saturday morning nine days later and I've just gone to see if the mower has been fixed. Nah havn't got to it I was told. (after nine days and no phone call). What about Monday I was asked. No thank you I'll just take it. Surely the basic courtesy of a phone call is not too much to expect. That's the only commitment you gave me and you had nine days. Couldn't deliver on that. I'm pleased that you are so busy and giving priority to those who earn a living from mowing. No issue with that. That's important, but so is basic customer service and professional courtesy. I'll probably get a great reason why this review is not credit worthy but a simple "sorry that wasn't good enough" is probably the response due.
Took the mower in for repair. Told it would be 10 days to 2 weeks. I was ok with that. Heard nothing after 10 days. Called in after two weeks. Told they hadn't looked at it. It would be another 3 or 4 days! "Don't waste your time or mine calling in I'll call you when it's ready"! Hadn't heard after 3 days or 4 days so called in after a week. Still hadn't looked at it! Told it would be done today or tomorrow ... it wasn't. Told them I wanted my mower back. I was told I was impatient and that "people like you piss me off"! Now that's good customer relationship building. I would have given them 0 stars but that didn't seem to be an option in the review.And I found out it took them a month to service my friend's mower after he was told it would be a week.
Great service from this small business. Having only just moved to the area, we have found many local businesses that offer good service. Jenkins and his staff went out of their way to help us and delivered our new Ride-on all the way to Encounter Bay, at no charge!. 10/10 for Service
