This business was nominated by the RAA to replace my battery under warranty. I did exactly as instructed, attempted to communicate to the business what directions I'd been given over the phone by the RAA and presented my full receipts and battery warranty folder. The owner was exceptionally rude, aggressive, threatening, refused to receive information and left me physically shaking and I'm usually tough. He was inept to communicate with and he shouted rudely, seemingly because he did not know his own operation's procedures, yet refused to let me speak. Another female customer witnessed the tail-end and could see his demeanour had been foul and upsetting. If I weren't legitimately scared of his level of heightened aggression and volatility I'd have given him a piece of my mind on the spot. Rude, uncouth and physically intrusive, at one point shoving a phone within a foot of my face into my personal space and no air of apology when he'd been educated correctly by the RAA. If frustrated with your own shortfalls, or don't understand policies and paperwork yet won't bother to hear a customer out or read the paperwork provided, don't take it out on the people you're elected to deliver a service to. As an owner of more than one vehicle we know where *not* to go for repairs in Goolwa. It's a shame as I'm certain the groundstaff are nice and were lovely on the phone. This man reeked misogyny and blatant impoliteness. *Edit to add: follow up response from owner is fallacious. The woman who entered didn't even see or hear any of the conversation between self and owner in order to comment, she only saw me cowering and almost in tears facing away from him after him being abusive at the end of the exchange. Owner was not trying to "explain the warranty process". He didn't know what to do or how and hence why he had to call the RAA twice for them to verify what I was saying is correct. This was not an assassination on social media. It was a review left after how shaken and hurt I felt by dealing with you. Further conversations within the local community have validated I'm one of only many people who have been subject to this owner's rage and lack of self-control, and that many locals have been personally attacked by you. All the best but your reputation was tarnished well before I reviewed. All the best with that. *Further edit to add: management states in response battery was three years old - battery purchased and certificate of 3 year warranty issued 2016, it's currently 2018, I think you'll find that's 2 years into a 3 year warranty by anyone's maths!
Mick and team has been servicing my Utes for about 8 years .. good old fashioned service .. they drop me to offive, collect me when finished . The one thing I love about Mick is there are no false pretences .. if something needs work .. he rings, explains and quotes .. no hidden surprises, no frightening bill at the end when. The have taken the liberty todo additional work without approval .. thank you again for your exemplary service Mick McCardle !
